1935 ~ VORRA ~ 2012

Mr. Robert “Bob” Russell Vorra, beloved husband of Mrs. Beverley Vorra of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, September 13th, 2012 at the age of 76 years. Bob also leaves to cherish his memory three children: Donna (Ted) Tokamp of Redcliff and their children, Michelle (Curtis) Schuett and their children, Haidyn and Corbyn, Ashley Tokamp; Rob Vorra and his children, Jamie, Cody and Rylee Vorra; and Shane (Sharon) Vorra of Medicine Hat and their children, Shandon and Shania Vorra; one brother, Bill (June) Vorra of Moose Jaw, one step-brother, Norman (Linda) Spyker of Medicine Hat; four sisters-in-law, Alfrieda Vorra of Dunmore, Phyllis Vorra of Brooks, Verla (Alvin) Birch of Moose Jaw and Lillian Krause of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Bob and Bev were married on April 19th, 1958 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where they lived until 1960. They then moved to Medicine Hat. Bob worked at Turner Plumbing, McCracken Plumbing, and finally Stark’s Plumbing where he retired in 2002 after 23 years. Throughout his life, he coached hockey and baseball and enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and tinkering in the garage. Bob was also an avid reader. He loved the outdoors — camping, yardwork and his pond — and especially loved his grandkids and watching their various activities. Bob will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in GLENVIEW NAZARENE CHURCH, 4235 Black and White Trail SE, on Monday, September 17th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend David Skidmore officiating.
