Mrs. Jannette (Jane) Kohls, beloved wife of the late Mr. David C. Kohls of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, September 14th, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Jannette leaves to cherish her memory four children, Larry (Sandra) of Redcliff, Donna (Douglas) Storrs of Medicine Hat, Byron (Deb) of Parksville, BC, and Beverley (Les) Bischoff of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren, Scott (Shelby), Jodi (Adam Rich), Stephen (Paula), Brent (Tonia), Tanis (Robin) O’Reilly, Jennifer Storrs, and Renee (Chris) Mealing; six great- grandchildren, Jack and Luke, Trinity and Peyton, and Seth and Neila. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Reinard (Hilda); and four sisters-in-law, Frieda Cosenza, Alma, Karen and Delores Kohls; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jannette was predeceased by her husband, David C. Kohls on May 5th, 2012; her parents, Albert Cecil and Eva Thomson; her brother, Howard (Emily) Thomson; four brothers-in-law, Robert, John, Herbert, and Rueben; four sisters-in-law, Sophia Mann, Stella Muhlbeier, Ella Unrath, and Ida Wiens. Jannette was born on August 11th, 1925 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Jannette and David were married in Maple Creek on February 3rd, 1945 and farmed near Golden Prairie for over forty years before retiring to Medicine Hat. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, September 21st, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend George Brandt officiating. A Private Interment will take place in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
