BRICE

George Frederick Thomas Brice of Medicine Hat, passed away quietly to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the age of 92 years, beloved husband of the late Deloris Brice.  George is survived by his daughter, Linda (Norm) Clark; granddaughters, Christina (Ken) Haughian, Roxanne (Andreas) Georgousis, Patricia Avery and Terri-Lynn Brown-Vigue; great granddaughters, Chais Avery, Chloe and Cidney Haughian, Alysa and Raiya Georgousis, Abbi Vigue and great grandson, Cole Vigue; his companion, Anne Ledene and her family Marilyn Wenzel, Rosemarie (Roy) Bechtold, Gerry (Betty) Kipta, Melodie (Don) Berehula as well as his “ol Buddy” Brad Wenzel and numerous nieces and nephews.  George was born on July 16, 1920 at Folkstone, Kent, England where he was raised and educated.  At the age of 19 he joined and dedicated his life and service tp the Royal Air Force.  On August 24, 1946 he immigrated to Canada, Port of Entry – Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Shortly after the war he transferred to the Canadian Air Force and served as an airplane mechanic stationed in Nova Scotia, Cold Lake, Calgary and Moose Jaw.  In the early 1970’s he moved to Medicine Hat where he settled and has resided since.   Following his time in the Air Force he worked as an auto mechanic at Benny Motors where he stayed until retirement.  He met Anne Ledene and they shared their life for 24 years, enjoying dancing and lots of social and family get togethers.  George enjoyed family gatherings, backyard barbeques, a good steak and a few drinks.  He enjoyed a good football game, with the Eskimos being his favorite.  George loved children and cherished his time spent with them.   He was predeceased by his wife Deloris; daughters, Marlene and Doreen.  The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, September 22, 2012at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Canon Gene Packwood officiating.  Officers and members of the Redcliff Legion, Branch #6 will conduct a poppy service for their departed comrade.  Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: pattfh@telusplanet.net subject heading: George Brice, or you may visit www.gonebutnotforgotten.ca  and leave a message of condolence.  Funeral Arrangements are by the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM 540 South Railway St. SE, Medicine Hat T1A 4C2
