Lynnetta Gail Strauss passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the age of 56 years, beloved daughter of Loretta and Henry Strauss of Medicine Hat. She was also dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family: Grandma Inge Strauss; her siblings, Neil (Judy) Strauss, Brian (Cheryl) Strauss, Kathy (Ralph) Korner, Karla (Gerrit) Vermeer as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss her faithful greeting cards and handcrafts. Lynnetta Gail Strauss was born at Empress, Alberta and raised on the family farm near Hilda. Upon school age she attended the George P. Vanier School in Medicine Hat for 12 years. Once completing her education Lynnetta worked and volunteered at the Medicine Hat Auxiliary Hospital and various other places through the CORE Association. She loved to swim, play games, sing, laugh, read, do crafts and visit with family and friends. Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to all the support workers and caregivers who have lovingly impacted Lynnettas life. Her church family has been a lifetime anchor and such a blessing. A big thanks to all of you! Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Prairie View Cemetery on Saturday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m., the funeral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Marcel Mitchell officiating. I am so sorry to hear of Lynnetta’s passing. I have “grown up” with Lynetta over my 30 years at CORE and loosing her is like loosing a member of my family. Please take care. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family

I had the pleasure of meeting Lynetta and working with her at The Core Association. She had such a beautiful light she carried to all the people she touched. So very sorry for your loss, but what a precious soul to have as Heaven’s gain. I know she’ll be so dearly missed
