HAMATANI Keiko
Posted: December 8th, 2012KEIKO HAMATANI (nee OKA) of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on December 1, 2012 at the age of 78 years.
Keiko was born in Maple Ridge, British Columbia to Takuma and Mitsuno Oka on November 1, 1934. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and handicrafts and filled her days and the life of those around her with delicious home grown food.
Keiko is survived by her husband, Akira and her children Deborah (Dennis) Kalma and Douglas (Joyce) Hamatani and grandchildren, Nicholas and Sarah Kalma and Victoria Hamatani.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to friends, neighbours, the Chinook Regional Hospital staff for their care, kindness and support during Keiko’s illness.
In lieu of koden, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
A Memorial Service will be held at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME at 703 13th Street North on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Canon Erin Phillips officiating.
