EDNA HAYNES JENSEN, beloved wife of Ross Jensen passed away peacefully in Taber on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 79 years.
Edna was born on March 12, 1933 in Taber, Alberta. She was the second child and eldest daughter of Thomas Marold Haynes and Samantha Laura Stewart. On April 11, 1950 she married the love of her life, Ross Jensen, where they began farming in the Purple Springs area.
Edna is the loving mother of: Brenda Harris of Taber, Laura (Bryce) Martin of Taber, Bernadette (Darrell) Ludwig of Brooks, Jack (Nancy) Jensen of Kelowna, Judy (Lorne) Hazell of Grassy Lake, Ross Jr. Jensen of Taber, Russell Jensen of Calgary, and Carolyn (Jeff) Lind of Portland, Oregon. Edna is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters: Sylvia Knibbs, and Marlene (Darel) Smathers.
Edna loved her family dearly and cherished each and every member of her constantly growing family. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Primary, music, bowling, gardening, baking and playing scrabble.
She was predeceased by her parents Marold and Laura Haynes, son Marold, granddaughter Cassidy, brothers Ross and Reese Haynes and sister Beth Moore.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TABER STAKE CENTRE, 4709-50 Avenue, Taber.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment to follow in the Taber Cemetery.
