Adriana “Jeanne” Wilhelmina Siegers of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Egbert Siegers passed away on Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Jeanne leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Adrian (Darnelda) of Sechelt, B.C. and Alvin of Medicine Hat; two daughters, Alice (George) Theofan of Medicine Hat and Corinne (Tyler) Johnson of New Market, Ontario; ten grandchildren, Dione, Sean (Erin), Joshua, Jordan (Sarah), Daniel (Taylor), Tanner, Leighton, Madyson, Jacqueline, and Jeremy (Janelle); thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Ansje (Alexander) van Cuyk; one brother-in-law, Sietse Siegers, both of the Netherlands; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Egbert; one son, Bert, one granddaughter, Janine; her parents, Cornelis and Janna Wagemaker; all of her brothers and one sister. Jeanne was born in the Hague, Holland on December 28th, 1920. She was a member of the Unit 6 of the U.C.W. and a long standing member of Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church. The Funeral Service will be held in FIFTH AVENUE MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH, 476 – 4th Street SE, on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Jeannes memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 – 1201 Kingsway Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2Y2 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 – 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8. all the way from Holland, most sincere condolences. “Ganie” was an absolute Treasure especially when she was the best Help with the small Folmer-boys in the 40’s. How cheerful and strong ! We remember her always.
