It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Guy Tracy Schlosser on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the age of 51 years, beloved husband of Cindy Schlosser of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Ryan Schlosser and Ryley Schlosser (Jessie Reimer) all of Redcliff; one grandchild, Taylor Schlosser; faithful compainion Malibu; one brother, Dean Schlosser (his children, Kyle and Savanah) of Kerrobert, Saskatchewan; two sisters, Judy (Tim) Weber (their children, Emery and Aaron) of Calgary, Joanne Deck (her children, Adrian, Kylee and Devin) of Vibank, Saskatchewan; his mother and father-in-law, Fred and Ann Borzel of Swift Current; sister-in-law, Shelly (Ivan) Martens (their children, Kayla and Desa) of Redcliff. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Vern Schlosser. Guy was born July 15, 1961 in Kerrobert, Sask. He was raised on the family farm where he enjoyed working with his dad, as well as racing and breaking horses. In his high school years he loved to play football. While attending a race meet he met the love of his life, Cindy. They were married on April 5, 1980, and were blessed with two handsome sons. Guy’s passion was the drilling rigs which he started working on from the time he was 17. He worked for multiple drilling companies before venturing to build his own drilling rig empire. In 2006, he found another passion in the Caribbean for five years before returning back to Canada to be closer to his family and friends. He was an entrepreneur at heart, always coming up with new ideas and inventions. He cherished time with family and friends, and always lent a helping hand to the many people that crossed his path. He had a heart of gold; strong but gentle and tough but kind to all that knew and loved him. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Dear Cindy, Ryan and Ryley,
The words that come to me at this time, is that it seems the only thing that changed over the years is the colour of Guy’s hair. That smile and sparkle in his eyes I remember since the first time meeting our family in ‘the west’ as little kids. Years later, we reunited with the proudest parents I had ever seen with your dad rolling around on the floor with his sons and your mom beaming from ear-to-ear with a smile coming directly from her heart. Also unchanging I believe, was Guy’s lifelong passion to put others first, wanting to provide special experiences and memories to all of his family(ies). He truly made many, many people’s wishes and dreams come true and now continuing his legacy of giving to many children who will be grateful for his kindness.

Hello Cindy, Ryan and Ryley,
I am a cousin who never met you, but my wonderful memories of visits out west when I was a kid were mostly of staying on the farm and filled with your dad; a wicked sense of fun, full of life and even very young, a way of saying the truth that everyone was thinking. I am so sorry you lost him far too soon. The Guy I remember will have fit a lot of living into his life though. I am sending warm thoughts. Valerie McLeod (aunt Ruth’s daughter)
