GERMAINE MARIE PICKERING

June 25th, 1931 – July 2nd, 2013
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Germaine Pickering is survived by her daughters, Pauline (Harvey), Shirley (Tom), and Lorna; her son, Donald (Cherie); her grandchildren, Leanne, Aaron, Trevor, Sherry, Jeff, Michele, Richard, Ryan, London, Hope and their spouses; her great- grandchildren, Jeremy, Breanna, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Henry, Isabelle, Kale, Ayden, and Conner; her two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Germaine will be missed by all the family and by many, many friends at Newbrook Lodge in Brooks, Alberta. She was a proud member of the Red Hatters in Brooks and loved getting dressed up and going out as a group. There were many activities at the lodge that she was very active in but the one she was proudest of was the men’s choir that she organized. The Funeral Service will be held in TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 811 Cassils Road West, Brooks, on Monday, July 8th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend John Theiss officiating. Memorial gifts in Germaine’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 – 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8, or to the Newbrook Lodge, 500 – 3rd Street East, Brooks, Alberta, T1R 1P6.
