RONALD FREDRICK BEATCH
Posted: August 6th, 2013June 30, 1932 ~ August 1, 2013With heavy hearts the family of Ronald Fredrick Beatch, beloved husband of Audrey Beatch, announce his passing while at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the age of 81 years.
Ron was born in Medicine Hat. He was raised on the family farm and went to school near Rattle Snake Dam. He married Audrey Edna (Nott) Donnelly in 1969, blending their families together. Ron worked for many years at Ogilvie Flour Mills then with Westburne Drilling until his retirement in 1985. He was a hard working man and loved his Pilsner warm. Ronnie enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling to Parker Arizona for the winter, the horses and acreage at Seven Persons, flipping houses, boating and waterskiing with his brothers and all the kids at Rattlesnake. He was a longtime member of the Moose and the Royal Canadian Legion. His 80th Birthday when the whole family got together will always be a special memory for everyone. Ron will be forever remembered by his wife, Audrey; children, Gus Beatch (Winnie) and his daughter, Fred (Darlene) Beatch and their six children, Kathy Beatch and her three children, Kelly Beatch (Kim Piea) and his two daughters, Chuck (Pat) Donnelly and their two children, Dawn Bonagofsky, Tim (Cheryl)?Donnelly and their four children and Brenda Donnelly and her two children; siblings, Harold (Gay) Beatch, Leonard Beatch and Sharon (Byron) Coxx, Sister in law Jean Beatch, as well as numerous great-grand children and nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Katherine Beatch of Medicine Hat; brother Albert Beatch, sisters, Georgina May and Rose Ann, and sister in law Delores. His favorite dog, J.D. will miss him dearly as well. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. The Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Those wishing to attend the Graveside Service are asked to gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel between 10:30 A.M. and 10:50 A.M. for the procession to Hillside Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ron’s name may be made directly to a charity of one’s own choice.
