Mr. Joseph Robert “Bob” Marier, beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Shorter of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, August 7th, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Bob also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Kenny Shorter (Brenda), Reggie Shorter (Marg), Darrell Shorter and Darlene (Daryl) Zerr; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; best friend, Wally Mimick; as well as numerous extended family, friends and acquaintances. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, August 16th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Borrows officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Bob’s memory may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1X8.
