KEN SEEFRIED
Posted: August 30th, 2013Ken Seefried (retired RCMP) in 1996 in Salmon Arm B.C., Husband of Sandy Seefried and father of Kristine Semrau, was taken from us suddenly on August 27, 2013.
He was doing what was one of his passions, riding his Honda Goldwing, when he was taken. Ken and Sandy made many trips together with both bikes. Ken graduated from Foremost in 1969 and graduated from the RCMP in 1971 in Regina. His first posting was in Campbell River and then to Vancouver, Nakusp, Williams Lake, Anaheim Lake and Salmon Arm, B.C. He retired in 1996, whereupon Sandy and Ken moved to Medicine Hat, AB. Ken is survived by his dad Harold, mom Doris, sister Arlene and her husband Ron, and his brother Larry; his grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Kyara and Kaden. They both loved riding with him on his bike. Ken’s passion was hunting with Sandy for many years, he also enjoyed hunting with his daughter, grandchildren and with his other friends. They had many adventures in the B.C. mountains and the prairies. A ceremony will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 31st at the Masonic Lodge at 42 Bannon Ave. S.W., Medicine Hat. An Honour Guard of Motor Cycles will be present from the Toy Run, which Ken and Sandy faithfully attended every year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to H.A.L.O. in Ken’s honour.
