Mrs. Zoila Morales of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Felipe Morales Sr., passed away on Friday, September 13th, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Zoila leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Isabel (Rolando) DePaz of Medicine Hat, Elisa (Francisco) Garcia of Indianapolis, Indiana, Orlando (Catalina) Morales of Medicine Hat, Ericka (Jorge) Hoajaca of Surrey, British Columbia, Jorge (Christina) Morales and Felipe (Liliana) Morales Jr. both of Medicine Hat; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Zoila was preceded by her husband, Felipe; one son, Rudy Morales; and her parents, Inez and Isabel Guzman; one brother; and six sisters. Zoila was born, raised and educated in Guatemala before coming to Canada in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Zoila loved to cook for her family when they came for visits. She was a member of the Iglesia Evangelica Hispana Church.

You had many things to say.
All in a caring way.
You always saw good in everyone,
No matter what they’ve done.
You were always the one we could all lean on.
Even though it must have felt like a ton.
You were always the strength of the family.
Now we must let you rest calmly.
As we say goodbye,
as tears roll down our eyes.
I know your place in heaven has a good view.
Because you’re telling God,
I need to keep an eye on a few.
I know you will always be in our hearts and mind.
So Grandma,
I must go, but I’ll never forget you’re one of a kind.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, September 14th, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 15th, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Monday, September 16th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jorge Hoajaca officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
