PAM HEILMAN-HEINZ

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pamela Dawn Marie Heilman-Heinz beloved wife of Glen Heinz, announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the age of 55 years. Pam was born on December 30, 1957 and raised in Medicine Hat. Following her graduation from McCoy High School, she furthered her education at the Medicine Hat College, receiving a Business Administration Diploma. She enjoyed life and was very outgoing and personable to all she met. Pam married the love of her life, Glen Wayne Heinz, on April 16, 1982 in Medicine Hat. Together they built their home and raised their son, Garon. Pam was happily employed for many years at Rabers Department Store. She enjoyed her home, gardening and hobbies of photography, journal writing, shopping, reading and astronomy. A proud moment for Pam was when she gained employment at the Medicine Hat College working in the Bookstore, where she was the recipient of the Service Achievement Award many times and was honoured as an Employee of the Year. In addition to doing many, many displays in the Bookstore, she was extremely honoured to have participated in the decorating for homecoming. Pam will be forever remembered in the hearts of her husband, Glen; son, Garon; step-father, Leslie Csikany and mother-in-law, Florence Heinz; siblings, Leonard (Penny) Heilman, Cory (Angie Kenndey) Csikany; sister-in-law, Shirley (Albert) Nieman; brother-in-law, Mike Madigan; nieces, Jenna (Nick) Rose, Tristan Cybertowicz, Richelle (Kevin) Gill; nephews, Chris MacDonald, Justin (Tara) MacDonald, Landon (Miranda) Heilman, Steve (Krista) Nieman; life long friend, Gerda; great friends, Pam Plante, Dalyce, Nadine, Vicki, Maxine, Donna, Heather & many more; friends / co-workers, Debbie, Mario, Loreen, Angie, Sharon &?Teri as well as her best companion, Oscar her pet dog. Pam was predeceased by her mother, Marilyn Csikany; sister, Trish Madigan and grandmother, Olive Desharnais (Nana). Pam was a gracious and well respected lady who touched the hearts and lives of all who knew her. A Graveside service will be celebrated at Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. A time of fellowship will follow at Cook Southland Reception Center. Those wishing to attend the Graveside service are invited to gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, between 10:30 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. for the procession to Hillside Cemetery.
