On December 28, 1960 she eloped to Sweetgrass, Montana with her sweetheart and was later sealed in the Cardston Temple. They raised their family in Magrath and on the family farm south of town. It was here that she taught her children the value of hard work, love of nature, and the strength that comes from being a united family. She also loved her many nieces and nephews and her home was always open for lots of good food and fun. Grandma loved gardening, flowers, camping, bird watching and was known to have a gun nearby when needed. She enjoyed going for drives and watching her family play ball.
