DILLON GUCKERT

1983 ~ 2013
Dillon Troy Guckert, beloved son of Helen and Elliott Guckert, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2013, at the age of 30 years.  Along with his mother and father, Dillon’s memory will live on in the heart of his grandmother, Fanny Guckert, as well as the hearts of his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Arnold and Nora Peterson;   grandfather, Jack Guckert and one uncle, Harvey Guckert.  Dillon’s smile brightened the room.  He loved the outdoors, especially when the wind was blowing in his face and his favorite tunes were playing in the background.  Dillon enjoyed swimming, bowling, and time spent with Dad watching his Roughriders play on TV.  Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, October 7, 2013, between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Dillon’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating.  (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com)  If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Dillon’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 6007 – 1A Street, Calgary, Alberta, T2H 0G5.  Honoured to serve the family is COOK SOUTHLAND Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4V4.   Telephone:  403-527-6455.
