Posted: October 28th, 2013RONALD BIDE CLARK (83), of Magrath passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 in Raymond, Alberta. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Helene Clark; his children: Kim (Cindy), Karen, Gloria (Tim), Rhonda (Lou), David (Karla), and Tammy; stepchildren: Roselyne (Daniel), David (Alice), Christopher (Tonya); 34 grandchildren; 28 great grand children; his siblings: Ross (Myrna), Brent (Judy), Kay (Bob), Paul (Janice) and Garnet (Heather).
He was predeceased by an infant brother, William, his first wife Yvonne Matthews and sister Loretta Brown. Ron was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. He served 3 missions, the first as a young missionary to South Africa, followed by 2 missions with his dear wife Helene, the first to South Africa, and then the Church Employment Office in Lethbridge. He taught school in Stirling, Waterton, and then 29 years as Teacher/counsellor as well as 14 years as an early morning Seminary instructor while in Calgary and 10 years as driving instructor for AMA. He also served 28 years for Scouts Canada, the last 5 years with Helene. Ron received his PhD in psychology and marriage counselling in 1981 from BYU. He loved sky diving, scouting, camping and canoeing. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 12:00 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL, Magrath. Friends may meet the family on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery.
