SHIRLEY CROSTHWAITE

1936 – 2013
 Shirley Jean Crosthwaite, beloved wife of Bill Crosthwaite of Bow Island, passed away peacefully on Christmas day, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 77 years.
 A private funeral service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Saturday, December 28, 2013 with Pastor Sheila McLeod officiating. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.southlandfuneral.com.
 Besides Bill, her best friend and husband of fifty six years, Shirley is survived by their daughters Debbie (Bert) Michaelis and Marilyn (Dave) Van Gaalen all of Lethbridge. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Curtis (Jennifer) Michaelis, Cody (Amanda) Michaelis, Angela Van Gaalen (fiancé Greg), Christopher Van Gaalen, Ryan Van Gaalen and great grandchildren Zachary, Taylor and Dawson Michaelis. She is also survived by her sister Joyce (Bernie) Hanson of Brooks and sister-in-law Thurza (Jack) Peard of Taber and their families.  
 She was predeceased by her parents Jean (nee Howard) and Trygve Larsen.  
 Shirley loved her community and enjoyed volunteering her time and many talents to the United Church Women and the Bow Island Hospital Auxiliary. She was also very active in the Bow Island Art Club. Shirley was a kind hearted, gentle soul who saw the good in everyone. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
