LINDA WURFEL

April 8, 1917  ~  December 13, 2013

Linda Wurfel, beloved wife of the late Ernest Wurfel, passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the age of 96.  Linda is survived by her son, Albert (Agnes) of Athabasca; daughter, Ardis Tingley (Dave) of Medicine Hat; daughter-in-law, Beth of Calgary; sister, Lorene Chacalias of Medicine Hat;  sisters-in-law, Marie Roth of Regina and Bertha Janzen of Medicine Hat;  10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Linda was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; son, Gordon; grandson, Curtis; step-grandson, Erik Vatanen; parents, Karl and Adele Roth; brothers, Herbert, Arnold, Richard and Walter Roth.  Linda was interred with her late husband, Ernest, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge on December 19, 2013.  A Memorial Service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Julianna Wehrfritz- Hanson officiating.  A reception will follow immediately thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Center.  (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com)  Memorial gifts in Linda’s memory may be made to the Canadian Institute for the Blind or the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Honoured to serve the family is COOK SOUTHLAND Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4V4.  Telephone:  403-527-6455.
