John Hollinda of Brooks, beloved husband of Betty Hollinda, passed away in Brooks on Monday, June 30th, 2014 at the age of 87 years. John is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his three children and nine grandchildren: J.J. (Heather) and their children Kara, Laura, and Brooke; Ann Marie (Bart) Dillman and their children Walker, Macen and Trey; Michael (Debbie) and their children Nathan, Luke, and James; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Prayer services will be held on Sunday, July 6th at 7:00 PM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Deacon Robert N.J. Wilson officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 7th at 11:00 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Bryan K. Frank Celebrant. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery. In memory of John, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to either St. Vincent De Paul Society, c/o St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Box 578, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B5 or the Brooks and District Health Foundation, Bag 300, Brooks Alberta T1R 1B3.
