TAKAHASHI Shigeo

SHIGEO B. TAKAHASHI, beloved husband of 66 years to Hisako Takahashi, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. \”Shin\” is remembered by his children: Wayne (June), Ina (Bob), Eldon (Dianne), Eileen (Dewey), Edie (Doug), Darcy (Pete – deceased), Lisa (Doug), 12 grandchildren and 22 1/2 great grandchildren. Shin is survived by his sister Machiye Ichii in Japan. He was predeceased by Matsuyo, Tote, Tak, Joe, Tom, Yukiko, Fudiko. Shin was born in Raymond on June 10, 1918. He served in World War II from June 10, 1941 to February 6, 1946. He returned home and married his sweetheart, Hisako Takahashi on December 1, 1948. He and Hisako were a part of the \”gang\” including Jack and Louise Nishiyama, Mas and Miyo Sunada — oh yes, they had some fun activities together! He loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favourite things to do were playing the organ while the kinds sang along, day road trips, bowling, golfing, fishing, lapidary, and bingo. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.
