With heavy hearts the family of Janice Roseanne Mary Favreau announce her peaceful passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the age of 72 years. Janice was born and raised in Kenora, Ont, a daughter to proud parents, Lorne and Iris Favreau. She loved many of the little things in life like gardening, playing bingo, watching baseball, golf and hockey and she knew her way around the kitchen and loved to bake. Janice made the best fudge in all of Canada! She had a generous, loving heart who always put herself second to concentrate on the needs of others. As this was her character, she was the perfect person to provide care to her great-granddaughter, Aubree. She loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – they were the loves of her life and she enjoyed all the time spent with them. Janice will be remembered by her children, son, Robert Smith; daughter, Jo-Ann (Ken) Routledge; grandchildren, Daniel (Kailagh) Routledge, Chelsea Favreau, Amanda (Scott) Herrmann, Katie Favreau and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Harry (Cheryl) Favreau, Michael (Nancy) Favreau, Dee Dee Leroux, Judy (Bryan) Smith, Lorna Sinclair, Margo (Randy) Cederwall, Barbara Favreau and Trudy Favreau; sisters-in-law, Terry Favreau and Carol (Greg) Mazor as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Lorne and Iris Favreau; an infant daughter, Pamela and a brother, Don Favreau. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Road S.E., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Philip Le celebrant.
