Norma Rae Fischer, beloved wife of Gerry ‘Bushy’ Fischer, passed away peacefully at The Wellington in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the age of 76 years. Along with Bushy, she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Rod (Sue) and Cal (Yvette); grandchildren, Mel (Dave) and Blaine (Darilyn) as well as her great-grandson, Benson. Norma was born on March 9, 1942, in Medicine Hat and married Bushy on August 31, 1960. The family would like to thank the staff of The Wellington for their compassionate care. She was an extraordinary woman and gained many friends during her stay there. At Norma’s request, no formal funeral service will be held. My deepest sympathies to Bushy and family. Whoever knew Norma was lucky because she was truly a unique, beautiful lady. My memories of Norma will always be of a happy fun loving woman. I know that she suffered and the last years were not kind to her but we must try not to dwell on that but to remember her as she was….Best wishes to all of you.
