1947 ~ 2019

Dianna Malmgren ended her courageous battle with cancer on her own terms on Monday, April 1, 2019, at the age of 71 years. In her final moments, Dianna was surrounded by her partner, Roy Olsen; daughter, Dena Malmgren; son-in-law, Shane Hamann and grandchildren, Jayden Malmgren and Cameron Hamann. She was still smiling as they wished her farewell on her final adventure. Dianna’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the MAiD team (Medically Assisted in Dying) for their amazing service to our community, to Dianna and her family. Even though Dr. Anil Keshvara was only her doctor for a short time, he made a huge impact on her with his loving presence and medical expertise. The support and leadership he provides to families with this service is cherished. MAiD allowed for her to choose her own path. As Dianna would say, “I did it my way”.
