1935 ~ FLORENCE GERVAIS ~ 2019

Mrs. Florence Gervais of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Emile Gervais, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Florence leaves to cherish her memory her children Laird (Jan) Gervais of Crystal Lake, SK, Joanne (Neil) Forer of Melfort, SK, Glendora (Blaine) Tenborg of Calgary, AB, Kurt Gervais (Marcia Amaral) of  Calgary, AB and Trevor Gervais (Louise Plante) of Medicine Hat, AB; eight      grandchildren Nicole (Korrie) Miller, Brad (Karla) Gervais, Aaron (Shannon) Forer, Devon Tenborg, Kristen Tenborg, Sophia Gervais, Iradele Plante (Meg Heesaker), Ysatrice Plante (Tanner Goring); seven great-grandchildren William, Jonathon, Isabelle, Brynlee, Vann, Kaiden and Vaelan; sister-in-law Betty Leclerc; and numerous nephews and nieces. Florence was predeceased by her parents Aimé and Maria Leclerc, one sister, Beatrice Martel and one brother, Maurice Leclerc. Florence was born at Cantal, Saskatchewan on November 6, 1935 and was raised and educated in the Wauchope District, Saskatchewan. Florence married Emile Gervais on November 14, 1953 at Manor,  Saskatchewan. Florence was a loving wife, mother and partner. She helped Emile study for his plumbing exams when he was changing careers. When she and Emile purchased a plumbing business at Whitewood, SK, Florence ran the office while Emile was at work in the community. In 1976 the family moved to Medicine Hat, AB where Emile continued his plumbing career. Florence went to work at the Sears department store for its grand opening in 1980, she naturally worked in the plumbing department, and worked there until her retirement. Florence loved to garden and was very happy when she was playing in the dirt. She enjoyed playing cards and doing crafts, making quilts for all her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, at 1:30 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment to follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
