It is with great sadness that family and friends announce the passing of JOHN CHARLES LANDERYOU at St. Therese Villa on May 14, 2019 at the age of 93 years.
John is survived by his loving wife, Betty and five children: Pat Lichter, Jack Landeryou, Susan Supina, Gordon (Jen) Landeryou and Karen Landeryou, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, John & Emma Landeryou, his stepmother, Ruth Landeryou and his three sisters, Hazel (Jim) Lemoal, Juanita (Bill) McNabb and Joan (Steve) Suetta.
John was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 13, 1925. He served in the American Air Force during World War II. John met and married the love of his life, Betty, in 1947.
After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce, he sold life insurance in Toronto for ten years. Later, he moved to Lethbridge and taught at Winston Churchill High School for 26 years.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of playing Bridge, as he was a Life Master at it. This pursuit, along with many fishing trips, filled much of his retirement.
Cremation has been entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
