It is with both gratitude and sadness that the family of GUIDO BRUNO PONTAROLLO announce his passing in Cardston on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marcene Broadhead Pontarollo and four children: Dianne (Bill deceased) Roblin, Joyce (Gerry) Zemp, Dan (Teresa) Pontarollo and Ken Pontarollo. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He was predeceased by his parents Giacomo (Jack) and Caterina Pontarollo, his brothers Guido (died in infancy), Reno, and Tim, son-in-law Bill Roblin and sister-in-law June Pontarollo. Guido was a good athlete, had a wicked “windmill” fastball pitch, played hockey, and was a team roper. He loved his horses, especially Gold Reb. Throughout his life he worked as an electrician and rancher.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave W).
Friends may meet the family at the Church from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the Service. Interment to follow in the Beazer Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Low for the many years of care and the nursing staff at L.T.C. Cardston for the compassion, care, and respect they showed Guido.
