RAMONA “MONA” LILLIAN BEGLAW passed away peacefully at Piyami Place in Picture Butte, on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

Mona was loved by all who knew her. She and her beloved husband, Hank, raised their family in Monarch. She enjoyed crafting, knitting and crocheting and was famously known for her doilies. Mona loved to cook. Everyone will remember her from B-B Drive in next to Hanks service station in Monarch. Mona also loved camping and traveling with Hank in their many trailers and motorhomes. Her favourite trip was with her brother and sister-in-law, Murray and Donna, when they toured Alaska.

Mona is survived by her son, Tracy (Carol) Beglaw, her brother, Murray (Donna) Ross, her grandchildren, Jody Heebner (Barry), Jennifer (Chris) Lange, Tammy (John) Wilgus, Lonny (Darla) Beglaw, Kyrie (Chris) Cragg and Crysie Hadley. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ryden Yackulic, Sawyer Heebner, Walker and Denver Lange, Dallas and Kale Gardner, Tristen Olsen, Jayde and Kayden Beglaw, Liam, Taylen and Tiana Cragg and Jayla, Grayson and Brynnique Hadley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Winnie Ross, as well as her husband, Robert “Hank” Beglaw and their two sons, Barry and Darcy.

Many thanks to the staff at Piyami Lodge and Piyami Place for the wonderful care they provided to Mona over the past ten years.

At Mona’s request, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society: #40, 1202 – 2 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0E3.
