ELVA ISABEL LAYDEN KNIGHT

Passed away on October 25, 2019. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born in Innisfail, Alberta to Annie and Clarence Layden on August 11, 1928. Predeceased by husband Robert Knight and partner Chester Knight. Mom was devoted to all the loves in her life. Family, friends, teaching and her passion for art, quilting and golf. Her door was always to open to anyone needing a bit of respite, a warm meal or a room for a time.

Elva is survived by her children Clarence and Marj Knight, Lois and Alan Nieboer, Terry and Bob Pavan, Janet Quesnel and Bryan Boyce, Tom and Frances Knight; 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was part of a large family that includes many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

As per her wishes, a celebration of life will be held when the grass is green and the weather is mild enough for a picnic and ball game.
