More recently, he worked in the Oil and Gas field, first as a contractor, then as a Field & Contracting Lead for Keyera. Gunter had many hobbies including train and military models, a fondness which he shared with his son AJ. He was an avid hockey fan; his favorite team was the Montreal Canadians. 4. Chuck Arcand says:

This just came as a definite shock to all of us at Core-Mark. I remember working with Gunter during my time at SAIT in the early ’90’s. He definitely cared about people and before all else his family. Our sincere condolences are with Jodi and the family.

There will never be another road trip like the one to help the Ft. McMurray fire victims and the convenience stores trying to order product. As usual he was on the front lines with his all in approach.
