JOHN WARDMAN
Posted: March 30th, 2020John Paul Wardman, beloved husband of the late Darlene Wardman, passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, March 20, 2020, at the age of 84 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Vicky (Paul) Proffitt, Wendy (Albert) Bosch, Richard Wardman and Cheryl (Leroy) Yanke; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Linda Hirsekorn and Joan (David) Lawrence; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as special friends, Tom (Melanie) Chaffee. John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Darlene; parents, Tom (Emma) Wardman; sister, Lorraine (Sam) Booth; parents-in-law, Edward (Lorena) Byers and brother-in-law, Melvin Hirsekorn. John was born on January 19, 1936, in Chapple Township, Rainy Rivers District, Ontario and lived in Emo and the Fort Francis area. He married Darlene Byers in Winnipeg in 1961 and then moved to Medicine Hat. John delivered bread in Rural Ontario, was an autobody painter and a parts delivery driver. He was interested in history, loved to tell stories and was a proficient musician. John loving playing guitar and sang in numerous bands throughout the years. He was involved in the Live Music Club and his other hobbies included camping and visiting with friends and family. The service and details will be announced at a future date.
