RENE RAY PEIRENS

Feb 3, 1944 – April 13, 2020

Rene Ray Peirens passed away peacefully in his sleep from an extended battle with heart failure at home where he was loved. He leaves behind his children Rene “Clayton” Peirens, Jacqueline Dawn Arich, Jamie Ray (Trisha) Peirens, and Katie Lorene Leishman-Peirens. He was predeceased by parents Rene and Ollie Peirens, Sister Evelyn Smith, and Nephews Al “Scott” Smith and Carmen Passey. He requested that no funeral services be held, but donations in his name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Anyone who knew him knew he was an avid motorcyclist. If he wasn’t home he could be found on one of his two bikes, yes even on a winters day. He was a giving person and would stop and help anyone in need. He took pride in helping introduce his grandson Kristian to the Sturgis, SD Rally, and even went so far as to help him acquire his fist Harley Davidson. He was never the same after his Nephew Al “Smoothie” and his lifelong friend Dennis Arndt passed from cancer. His biggest love was his children, grand and great grand children, but his passion was motorcycles.

2 Condolences for “PEIRENS, Rene”

  1. Terri Warnock says:

I am so sorry for your loss. Rene was a good friend and proud of his children. I will miss seeing him at our regular Friday coffee nights and out on the road riding. I’ll miss teasing him about being in Facebook jail. We had a lot of fun over the years. Whenever I hear thunder rumble I will think of Rene and Barry on their Harleys in Heaven. RIP

  2. Jacky Van lent says:

Rene always popped in for a visit at my place of work for some good conversation and even better teasing. I’m sure if ever needed he would help however he could. I will miss our traditional Christmas hug!
God Bless to the Peirens family.
