Debra Lynn Harrison passed away early Monday morning, June 8, 2020, in her home at the Riverview Care Center, Medicine Hat, at the age of 59 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ashley (Brandon), Lisa (Cornelius), and Tanya (Willy); her husband, Dave; her mother, Joyce; brother, Keith (Jody); sisters, Shelley (Doug) and Leanne (Trevor); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Debra was predeceased by her father, George Robert Wittig and her grandparents. Debra was born on November 17, 1960 in Leader, Saskatchewan to George Robert “Bob” Wittig and Joyce Agnes nee Angerman. She grew up on a farm in Burstall, Saskatchewan before moving to Medicine Hat to attend Garbutt’s Business School. She was working for Culligan and attending a business retreat in Banff when she met and fell in love with David William Harrison. They married on May 18th, 1990 and that following December she gave birth to her first daughter, Ashley Lynn. Five years later they welcomed twin daughters, Lisa Joy and Tanya Leanne. In 2011, Debra moved into the Riverview Care Center, and with guidance from care home workers, especially Bonnie, from the recreational department, lived the remainder of her life with grace. All three of her beloved daughters were able to visit with her during her final days. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at the funeral service will be at invitation of the family.
