ERVYN EVAN ORCUTT

Ervyn “Evan” Orcutt passed away on August 14th, 2020 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon (Dave) Cope, Donald Orcutt and Frances (Gino, deceased) Cassino; as well as stepsons, Henry (Gerry) Funk, Bernie (Eileen) Funk, Phillip Funk, Jake (Debbie) Funk and John (Cheryl) Funk; his cousin, Kathy (Stan) Blaikie; and niece, Donna Hake. Evan was also blessed with many grandchildren, step-grand children, and great grand children. He is predeceased by his brothers, Richard (Dawnette) Orcutt and Don (Fran) Orcutt; his wives, Margaret (Funk) and Edith (Rock); as well as the mother of his three children, Yvonne (Carlson). Evan was born in Edson, Alberta to Richard and Dorothy (nee Cooper) Orcutt. At sixteen years of age, Evan went to work for the CN Railway in Edson Alberta. His co-workers affectionately called him “Boots”, for the large rubber boots he wore to slug through the Alberta mud. Evan made friends wherever he went. He had a great sense of humour and a sparkle in his eye. He took great pleasure in music and dancing. He lived a full life, fishing, gardening, feeding the birds, building, fixing cars, and being a jack of all trades to his family and friends.
