1983 ~ AMY LYNN SCHMALTZ ~ 2021
Posted: March 12th, 2021Amy Lynn Schmaltz (Staniowski) age 38, beloved daughter of Stephanie Staniowski (Domingo) and Ed Staniowski passed away suddenly on March 6, 2021 at her home. Amy (who is known as a “Superhero” to all who knew her) was born February 14, 1983 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is remembered as a devoted mother to her two boys, 11 year old, Connor and 10 year old, Jensen. Anyone who knew Amy knew of her love and unending energy and dedication to the boys character, education, sports, community activities and faith. She worked long and hard often sacrificing of herself and her needs in order to offer the boys, who she saw as her number one priority, the best life can provide. To speak with Amy was to hear unending love, enthusiasm and a determination to share Jensen and Connor’s many accomplishments. Her love and devotion to the boys shines as an enduring legacy. Amy’s accomplishments as a world class athlete and instructor in the sport of kettlebell were truly amazing. Her level of fitness in the sport unmatched. She trained, coached and represented the Temple Fitness in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She was a champion at the National level and also brought home numerous medals while representing Canada in International competitions. Teammates and competitors hold her in awe. Whatever the occasion Amy would light up a room, her humour and wit were contagious. There was nothing she would not do for family or friend. Amy is survived by immediate family including sons, Connor and Jensen; their father Dean (Sara); her mother, Stephanie (Greg); father, Ed (Gillian); sister Lisa; brother, Joey (Janna); grandmothers, Heidi and Gail; grandfathers, Joe and Marv; stepbrother, Matt (Bev, Colin and TJ; and her numerous aunts, uncles cousins and nephews. Amy is predeceased by grandmother, Marge and grandfather, Zig. A celebration of Amy’s life will take place at 2 pm MST, Friday March 12, 2021.
