Dennis Motuz, aged 68, beloved husband of Cheryl, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2022, following a courageous battle with bladder cancer in Lethbridge.
Those he left behind to carry forward a piece of him in their hearts are his daughter Alicia Motuz, son Jared Motuz, daughter Meagan (Travis) Meyer, with grandchildren Jace and Ruby, and daughter Nikki (Alex) Jens, with grandchildren Mason and Emily. He is also survived by his siblings- Diane (Keith), David (Mona), Daniel (Arlene), Darcy, and Darren (Christine) and brother-in-law, Brent (Heidi) Chorneyko. Dennis was predeceased by his beloved Cheryl, his parents John and Sophie, and sister Debbie.
Dennis was born on November 10, 1953, in Minnedosa, Manitoba, to Sophie and John Motuz. He graduated from Minnedosa High School in 1971. While he was there, he met the love of his life and could not wait to spend the rest of his days with Cheryl, marrying her only days after her high school graduation on June 30, 1973. They were inseparable until Cheryl’s death 10 years ago.
Being a father and Gedo were his greatest joys. He was their biggest fan and would tell anyone who would listen about their accomplishments. His children often turned to him for advice, and he was always the first person to help out, especially when it came to his skills as a handyman. He loved working out and going for long walks in the coulees, especially with his family!
Throughout his life, Dennis had many talents that he gladly shared with those around him. He had his creative side where he created pottery and could make beautiful flower arrangements but he also was able to fix almost anything! He worked harder than anyone around, always doing his best to keep everyone safe.
