1924 – IVY “MURIEL” SNOWDON – 2022

Miss Ivy “Muriel” Snowdon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at the age of 97 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her two nieces, Norma Mueller (David Gourlay) and Lynn Moore (Jim); nephews, Ron Cyster and Mark Snowdon(Jill); great-nephews, Aaron Cyster and Nathan Snowdon; great-nieces, Pierce and Makenzie; as well as three great-great nieces and nephews and several cousins. Aunt Muriel will join her parents, John and Florence Snowdon; sisters, Daisy Snowdon and Connie Cyster; and brother, Keith Snowdon. Muriel was born on the family farm in Pettapiece, Manitoba. Muriel was a teacher and she taught in many places around the world including England, Panama, Dawson City, Montreal and Kamloops. Upon her retirement, she moved to Medicine Hat, AB. She enjoyed travelling and went to places like Egypt, Australia, Amazon River cruise and Galapagos Islands, Japan, the Orient and Hawaii to name a few. Muriel enjoyed her garden in retirement and loved everything pink. She did beautiful handwork and was an avid reader. A very special Thank You to the staff at Riverview Care Center for the wonderful care given to Muriel over the past years as well as for the support given to her family.
