NEHER

It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother and grandfather, Gary Neher, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

For everyone that knew him it would be safe to say that dad was no ordinary man. He was wise, dedicated , loyal, trustworthy and a no-nonsense kind of guy. Growing up on the farm in Diamond City, his story began and lead to a lifetime of family, hard work, and adventure with the love of his life, Faye by his side.

Dad lived his life to the fullest and embraced new opportunities without hesitation. He started his entrepreneurial path by farming with his dad before the age of 20. He then purchased his own land to farm while working several other jobs. He started Diamond City Feeders with mom by his side. Together they established the Duke of Wellington Pub and Eatery, Westside Liquor store (the first private store in west Lethbridge), Belly River Bison, and Cruise Holidays just to name a few.

Gary enjoyed being busy, a good challenge, a short nap, sunrises and sunsets(especially at the camp kitchen), Timmies coffee, road trips ,golfing and holidaying with his dear friends and of course the grandkids activities. He was so proud of their many talents and accomplishments!

Gary is lovingly remembered by his children , Tobi (Greg), Darcy (Lisa) and Marci (Terry), grandchildren Braeden (Emma), Courtney, Andrea (Dylan), Emily (Brad), Brookelynn, Abigail (Arthur) and Michael as well as 6 great grandchildren, his brother Ron (Ann), 2 sisters Marlene and Deb, several nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law Mae Lewis.

Gary was predeceased by his wife Faye, parents George and Julia Neher, son in law Greg Horon, and father-in-law Les Lewis.

As one of our last ways of honoring dad, there will be no funeral, just a private family celebration of life.

We will miss you dad!
