ANNA LINK August 23, 1934 ~ December 22, 2022 Mrs. Anna Link of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Ewald Link, passed away at the Riverview Care Centre on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the age of 88. Anna is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Adolf) Erdmann of Medicine Hat and Sandra (Brandon) Bullock of Sylvan Lake; six grandchildren, Anne deGraaf of Calgary, Lea (Daryl) Drysdale of Medicine Hat, Matthew Erdmann of Lethbridge, Kristin (Blake) Crawford of Rocky Mountain House, Rochelle (Cade) Scott of Red Deer and Zachary (Laura) Bullock of Sylvan Lake; several great-grandchildren as well as one sister, Mary (Peter) Braun. Anna was predeceased by her father, Cornelius Dyck (1952), mother, Katharina Dyck ~ nee Wall (1997), sister, Katherina Dyck (1939) as well as two brothers, Jake Dyck (2007) and Dean Dyck (2019). Anna was born on August 23, 1934, in McMahon, SK., and they later moved to the Barnwell/Taber area. As a young child, she worked hard helping her family in the sugar beet fields. Anna lived there until she was 16 years old when she moved to Calgary and started working for Safeway where she was a founding member of their union. In 1957, she met Ewald and they were married here in Medicine Hat. She supported Ewald in the construction business as it took them to Yorkton, Kelowna, Cranbrook, Lethbridge and Sylvan Lake before bringing them back to Medicine Hat in 1993 to enjoy their retirement. Anna enjoyed baking, snow skiing, curling, golfing, crocheting, knitting and learning how to swim in her 40’s, something she was very proud of. Above all else, she cherished her time spent with family and felt strongly that no amount of money or success could take the place of time shared with family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Riverview Care Centre for their care and compassion. Anna’s life will be honoured privately by her family at a future date.
