He was predeceased by his parents, Artur and Alma Schlenker. Ed was born on July 21, 1961, in Medicine Hat and was very active in baseball, hockey and waterskiing with his family. He was a huge Tigers fan from day one and always followed them throughout the years. Ed graduated from CHHS in 1979 and then went on to attend SAIT to become a journeyman carpenter. After several years of construction in the Medicine Hat area, in 1989, he moved to Penticton. He was employed with Greyback Construction and was involved in building major landmarks across the Okanagan. After many years, he decided to go out on his own and started E-Rock Contracting. He specialized in concrete construction and was well respected and sought after for his skilled craftsmanship. He was thrilled to bring his son Brock into the company working together for the last five years. Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed coming home to do these activities with his closest friends. He also enjoyed having his family and friends come out to visit and stay in the beautifulhouse he built in paradise. Ed will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
