CHERYL (RASMUSSEN) DANGEL
Cheryl (Rasmussen) Dangel passed away on December 27, 2022 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho where she had retired with her husband, Chuck. Cheryl was born on Nov. 4, 1945 in Magrath, Alberta, to Iven and Hazel Rasmussen, the oldest of 6 children. She told me the war ended because she was born, and I believed her. She grew up on a family farm in Del Bonita and attended school there as well. She was an excellent student and loved a good time, and had many friends. Cheryl was kind and good. Whether it was hard times or happy times, she was loving and gentle, selfless and giving. She will be remembered for her charity towards others. Cheryl completed her nurse’s training in Lethbridge, and travelled far north to Fort Simpson, south to Texas, and to Idaho, and many places in between, as a nurse caring for others. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Cheryl is survived by her siblings, Beverly (Will) Popowich, Russell (Sadie), Myrna (Jim) Layton, Cindy (Joe) Lamoureux, and Wesley (Jacquie), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Chuck in 2022 and her parents Iven in 1996 and Hazel in 2018.
A memorial service will be held in May 2023.

One Condolence for “DANGEL, Cheryl (Rasmussen)”

  1. Sharon Thompson says:

My sympathy to all of Cheryl’s family. I had not heard she had passed until just now reading her obituary. So many memories come back of people from Del Bonita and all the good times had. May the memories you have of Cheryl comfort you.
