ALFRED REUTER 1925 – 2023 Mr. Alfred Reuter, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Elisabeth Reuter passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 29. 2023 at the age of 97 years.
Alfred was born on September 19, 1925 in Mayen, Germany to Phillip and Barbara Reuter. On August 22, 1946 Alfred married Elisabeth Jung in Nurnberg, Germany and immigrated to Canada in February of 1952.
Alfred was the 7th of 14 children, all of whom predeceased him. Besides his beloved Elisabeth, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Emma and Walter Poehlmann and brother-in-law Fred Kunst.
Alfred is survived by his children Ilse (Ivan) Hoffman, Anita (Ron) Beauchesne; grandchildren Jacqueline (David) Hill, Cory (Robin VanDeLigt) Hoffman, Kyle (Mico) Beachesne, Kayla (Lyden) DeCecco; great-grandchildren Natasha Hill, Alex Gallant, Grace Hoffman, Joshua Hoffman, Kaydence DeCecco, Jaxon DeCecco; sister-in-law Adeline Kunst; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families in Alberta and Germany.
A Celebration of Alfred’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West, Lethbridge, Alberta with Pastor Lee Loveridge, officiating. Burial will be held prior at 11:00am in the COALDALE COMMUNITY CEMETERY, all are welcome.
