TERRY BARTMAN April 22, 1957 ~ March 6, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Terry (Terrance) Lloyd Bartman, announce his passing on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the age of 65 years. He leaves to honour his memory, his beloved wife, Erika; two children, Rachel (Lorne) Vossler and their children, Hallie and Vaughn; Brett (Dara) Bartman and their children, Ruby, Daisy and their dog, Wilson. Terry is also survived by his extensive family in Medicine Hat and Ontario, as well as Erika’s extended family. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Lloyd and Anne Bartman and Erika’s parents, Ted and Trudy Butcher. Terry was born and raised in Medicine Hat and graduated from Medicine Hat High School in 1975. He was the proud owner of Terry Bartman Construction (TBC) for 29 years. Terry coached minor hockey, scouted for 30 years with the Spokane Chiefs, was the SEAC President and the World U-17 Hockey Challenge Chair in 2019. He also volunteered for the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede for several years. Terry grew up playing baseball and hockey and was the captain of the Medicine Hat Cubs. He loved golfing, the highlight of the season being his annual golf trip with his life-long friends. He also enjoyed swimming, boating and fishing. Terry treasured spending time with Erika and his family at their cabin in Elkwater. They also traveled numerous times to Europe and Hawaii during their 46 years together. Terry and Erika made many wonderful memories on their 6 week motorhome trip through the United States and Canada in 2013. Terry was very involved in his children’s lives and always supported them in their endeavours. He also so adored his four grandchildren and was often affectionately known as “Grandpa Bartsy”. Terry was a devoted son and looked forward to spending time with his entire extended family, especially his brothers, Darryl, Jamie and Troy. He valued his relationships with his nieces and nephews and loved being a part of their lives. Terry was such a caring, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a loyal friend and trusted mentor to many. Terry will be greatly missed and remembered for his passion and dedication to his family, friends and craft.
