MURIEL MANNING

MURIEL MANNING 1942 – 2023 We are sad to announce the passing of Muriel Manning on March 7, 2023.
If you didn’t have the privilege of knowing Muriel please let us tell you about this wonderful lady.
Muriel was always happy and positive. She gave the best hugs. She was also an old soul for as long as her daughter can remember but loved what she loved regardless of what other people thought. She was incredibly stubborn. She murdered several Nintendo products trying to save the princess who always seemed to be in in another castle.
In her youth she was a bit of a thrill seeker. She also was a show jumper and waterskier. The traits that carried her to win medals; competitiveness and bravery flowed through her for the rest of her life. She was tough – so, tough, it was hard to explain how tough! Muriel was impossible not to smile with. She had an aura that every dog or cat would seek out and they would demand her attention. This lead to an infamous tenant of her life “All dogs are lap dogs, sometimes you just need more lap”. If you knew Muriel, please know we mourn with you. If you didn’t we hope this helps you get to know her at bit.
It is a firm hope that she is somewhere happy and reunited with her husband James.
Our eternal thanks to the staff at Riverview Care Centre who not only cared for Muriel but cared about her and we assure you the feeling was mutual.
If you want to honour Muriel we ask you to hug someone who needs it and in lieu of flowers, donate to the animal charity of your choice.
A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at a later date. To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
