LORI WEISGERBER January 4, 1989 ~ May 24, 2023

It is with profound sadness that family of Lori Leone Weisgerber announce her passing in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the age of 34 years.  Lori will be lovingly remembered by her children whom she adored, Koen (12), Cylis (11) and Zoey (6); parents, Dale and Debbie Weisgerber; two brothers, Curtis (Christine Enslen) and his three sons, Easten, Colbrie and Benaiah as well as her brother, Bryce (Tiffany) and their children, Jensen, Ellie, Kooper and Lucille. Lori is also survived by Grandma Theresa Weisgerber; Aunty Lynne and Uncle Art Lorenz, Uncle Jim and Aunty Ronda Langbein; Aunty Sharon and Uncle Neal Cook; cousins, Kevin and Meagan Lorenz and their children, Travis and Samantha; Brent and Cidnee Lorenz and their children, Axelle and Abbott; Dawson and Megan Cook and their son, Rhett; Dana and Cam Stock as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Roy and Alva Langbein and Bill Weisgerber as well as her cousins Grant Lorenz and Preston Lorenz. Growing up, Lori enjoyed a variety of sports including soccer and t-ball but she excelled at bowling where she and her teammates participated at the National level three times. She also played softball at a competitive level. Lori was an awesome mother to her three children even though most of the time she was under duress. She worked for many years at Argo’s Restaurant; a job she enjoyed tremendously. The last five years, Lori had struggled with addiction and her family is heartbroken that she lost her battle. “We will all miss you forever but we find comfort in knowing that your struggles are over and no one will ever hurt you again.” A Celebration of Lori’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. The service will be live streamed.  Anyone who is not able to attend but wishes to be a part of the service can visit www.cooksouthland.com and select the view broadcast button on the home page at service time.
