ROBERT WOLSTENHOLME 1935 ~ 2023
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” James Wolstenholme on June 8th, 2023 at the age of 87 years. Bob was born in Lac la Biche, AB on November 25th, 1935. A dedicated sea cadet, Bob joined the Air Force as a radio operator, having already obtained his ham radio license at the age of 14. It was there that he met his wife Marjorie and they were wed in 1957 in Lac la Biche. Bob started his career with Alberta Transportation and resided in Stettler before retiring to Medicine Hat where he and Marj remained for 30 years. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Marj, as well as his two sisters, Dorothy and Connie. He is survived by his three children, Joanne (Collen) Bootsman, Blake Wolstenholme, and Dyan (Terry) Nims; six grandchildren, Karen (Phil) Zaugg, Matt (Melissa) Bootsman, Amberly (Daniel) Allers, Brandon Nims, Kyle (Kendra) Nims, and Katie Nims (Mark); 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack; and many other relatives and good friends. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
