VELMA COLEMAN

1941 ~ VELMA COLEMAN ~ 2023 Velma Marie Coleman (nee) Norman passed away June 22, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dick Coleman of 64 years. She is also loving remembered by her two daughters, Kerry (Alan) Godkin and their children, Byron (Del Rae) Godkin and their children, Natalia, Alessia & Barrett, Brad Godkin, Kallie Godkin; Janice (Gordon) McKie and their children, Garrett McKie, Jess (Natasha) McKie Brent’s son, Travis Coleman and his children, Brent & Leah; brother, Leonard Norman; sister, Connie (Bob) Anderson; nieces, Jodi (Trent) Lindsay, Vanessa (Mike) Ciccone, Marcy (Robert) Kiesman; nephew, Colin (Sara) Anderson. She was predeceased by her mother, Ragnhild Norman; father, Joe Norman; son, Brent Coleman and sister, Faye Norman.
Velma was born and raised in Piapot, Sask. and enjoyed visiting all her numerous cousins with her siblings. She met Dick and they married on August 1, 1958. Velma passed just weeks short of their 65th Wedding Anniversary. They then moved to the Maple Creek area and welcomed their three children. They moved to Medicine Hat in 1978 and still reside here. Velma loved music, camping and travelling to the U.S. She was always taking care of everyone, she had a huge heart and loved being involved in all her kids and grandkids lives and what they were all doing. She will also be missed by her many friends she made through the years. The family extends a special thank you to everyone at home care; doctors, nurses and care giving teams of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for their continuous care. The memorial service for Velma will be held at Saamis Memorial Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB. on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Pollard officiating.
