GLADYS VIOLA REBMANN (LANG)

GLADYS VIOLA REBMANN (LANG) 1932 – 2023 Gladys Rebmann passed away at Riverview Long Term Care Home on August 16, 2023 at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Krakalovich (John), Karen Hamerton (Mike), Nancy Schreiber and Lyle Rebmann (Cheryl); brother, Alan Lang (Jean); sister, Carole Lang; grandchildren, Mike Krakalovich, Shawn Krakalovich (Gloria), Shawne Pryor (Trevor), Jennifer Rebmann (Dave), Vincent Hamerton (Dani), Scott Hamerton (Mel), Carla Schreiber (Andrew), Tyler Schreiber (Stephanie), Kristen Rebmann (Tyler), Kaitlyn Schmidt (Jeff); 17 great grandchildren; as well as five great-great grandchildren. Gladys was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Gotlieb (Scotty) Rebmann; her father and mother, John and Magdalena Lang; son, Stanley Rebmann; granddaughter, Kimberly Rebmann and grandson, Kevin Rebmann.
Mom was most passionate about her faith and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 70 years. A long-time member of the LWML she loved the countless hours she spent with the ladies making quilts that would be sent overseas. She made her children and grandchildren at least one quilt each and over the years sewed her eldest daughters wedding gown, countless items of clothing for children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
We would like to extend a special thanks to her good friends Elenor Bader and Henrietta Renke for all the visits they made. An EXTRA special thank you to the nurses and staff at Riverview for their professional and compassionate care for our mom over the last days of her life. YOU ROCK!!
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 758 – 8th Street SE, MEDICINE HAT, AB T1A 1M5, on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Shane Hein officiating.
