VICTOR JANS September 18th, 1932 – September 23rd, 2023
Victor Jans passed away on September 23rd, 2023, at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Jans; children, Terry Wanke of Prince George, Vivian Jans (James) of Winnipeg, Earl Jans of Winnipeg, Mark Jans of Medicine Hat; Cathy’s children, Ed Jans of Red Deer, Randy Jans of Edmonton and Shauna (Terry) Seitz of Medicine Hat; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Jay and Frieda Jans; brother, Russell Jans and sister, Anita Greenstein.
Victor was born in Medicine Hat and raised on the family farm in Walsh. He enjoyed fishing, working on his car and hunting. He enjoyed his family especially spending time with his grandchildren. He always liked a good joke. He loved his work as a city transit driver as he was always seen with a smile on his face.
Victor’s care at the Riverview Care Centre was exceptional for the last 5 1/2 years of his life.

We spent so much time together in our younger years. I’m surprised we survived with everything we did and I’m sure you’re mom thought she had another child with me there most PD the time, lol. I saw your dad frequently because I took the bus(es) he drove. We had a lot of good times. Very thankful for the memories.
