JOY ARAM May 19, 1940 ~ November 25, 2023
A new Angel has made her way to heaven, leaving our hearts heavy but our lives full of wonderful memories in her absence. We will miss Joy dearly until we can be together again. Joy battled hard and strong, and is now at peace watching over us all.
Joy is survived by Colin Aram, “the love of her life” husband of over 60 years; son, Gordon Aram (Anna); daughter, Sharon Aram (grandchildren, Danielle Greenaway, Derek Bailey, Nathan Greenaway) (great-grandchildren, Airianna, Brinley, and Cambrie Greenaway) Joy was predeceased by her mother and father as well as her brother and sisters of England.
A poem written by Joy, as she was always a planner down to the very last detail.

My Life On Earth I’ve laughed and cried also had lots of fun, But now God has said “My work is done.” Please do not cry because I have passed Today’s dark clouds, they will not last. I’ve lived and loved and tried by best, Now God has called for me to rest. Please think of me once in a while, Not with a tear but a gentle smile. I’ve had good times, each one a blessing The memories of which I am caressing. My life on earth was a joyous refrain Which will last us through ’till we meet again. With fondest love, Joy Loved always and forever in our memories, we will remember a best friend, a loving wife, a mother, a Nana, a great-grandmother and a beautiful soul. Heaven has gained a most extraordinary woman whose wings will surround us and protect us all and her halo will shine bright to guide us along the rest of our paths until it’s time to meet again. A private family gathering of remembrance will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel.
